WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Safety and Compliance Manager. The Safety and Compliance Manager will be reporting to the Vice President of Safety.

 

Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Assists the safety team with compiling leading and lagging indicator data to populate the monthly safety stats reports in preparation for the Director and VP of Safety's review.
  • Administration of contractor data for month end reporting and performance statistics.
  • Is the main contact and administrator over the WINSafe program.
  • Compiles weekly data to prepare and produces a weekly safety summary report of near miss reporting, incidents, and upcoming safety events.
  • Is the main point of contact for FMCSA and DOT related activities. Files required annual reports and works closely with 3rd party providers. Completes inquires and makes reports as necessary to support CSA related matters.
  • Administrator of the SPARC and main point of contact for our TPA.
  • Administrator of the Lytx or DriveCam system.
  • Assists the safety team with claims administration activity. May support the safety team through documentation, research, and as a main point of contact with the company's insurance carrier.
  • Administrator of the Safety SharePoint page and ensuring policies, programs, and supporting material is up to date.
  • Coordinating safety events, calendars, and training for the safety staff and corporate office.
  • Serves as a backfill for Safety Managers and Safety Trainers as directed.
  • Serves as the safety liaison for newly acquired assets and aids with the handoff to the Safety Manager covering the territory.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

 

Experience/Education:

Required:

  • Knowledge of risk management, industrial health and safety rules and regulations to include OSHA/DOT/FMCS/EPA.
  • Experience managing
  • Strong administrative abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, & SharePoint)

Preferred:

  • Three years' experience in a safety-related position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related field.
  • Safety related certification such as CDS, ASP, CSP, LSP, or GSP.
  • Risk management related certifications such as ARM, or TRIP.
  • Waste or transportation industry experience.
