Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for a Quality Control Associate in its Kirksville, MO facility on second shift.
Hourly Rate: $18.99 plus $1.25/2nd shift premium.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, positive, and professional with excellent communication skills and outstanding attendance is required. The individual will have a High School diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, inspects quality of product and reports variances to adjusters, operators, and/or supervisor. Upon start up on new orders, gives final approval to ensure product meets job ticket specifications. May provide on-the-job training and assistance to production personnel to eliminate errors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Using ruler, PMS book, micrometer, loop & other measuring instruments performs product inspection at machine start up, as well as during continuous production runs.
- Reviews all types of product to assure it conforms to industrial and customer requirements and specifications.
- Assures all nonconformance issues are addressed and corrected as required.
- Ensures all written documentation and record keeping is complete and correct.
- Proofreads typeset copy and compares it to customer order to eliminate errors on finished product.
- Provides ongoing feedback to supervisors and managers to identify training challenges to help eliminate repetitive errors.
- Provides start-up samples as required.
- Reports to folding machine adjuster or supervisor any malfunction of assigned equipment or any major incidence of defective product or packing materials.
- Assists plant management in the coordination of priorities and direction of the re-work area functions or processes.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires ongoing coordination, communication between departments or functional areas.
- Ability to convey a positive image to coworkers.
- Basic Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Word.
- Ability to problem solve and implement solutions.
- Flexibility to work various schedules based on the needs of the business.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment based on knowledge and experience.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.
