In this associate role for recent graduates (Please note: this opportunity is a fixed-term contract of up to one year), you’ll gain valuable experience turning user requirements into standardized, modular systems, and play a key part in installation, validation, and long-term maintainability—all while learning and growing in a collaborative team setting.
Your Contribution
- Apply standardized approaches to cell layout, HMIs, and controls architecture to ensure modularity and design consistency
- Assist in designing high-volume automation applications and low-volume, batch-oriented assembly tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help draft User Requirement Specifications (URS) and translate them into compliant system designs
- Support equipment fabrication, assembly, and debugging in hands-on development settings
- Help plan and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for automated systems
- Assist in training engineering teams on system use, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Support project delivery teams by contributing to automation workstream scope, quality, and technical deliverables within program budgets
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Computer Engineering) or equivalent
- 1–2 years of post-graduate experience as an Automation Engineer or in a similar role with special-purpose machines, jigs, fixtures or robotics
- Ability to conceptualise and implement innovative system design solutions for production environments
- Ideally experienced in HMI and PLC programming
- Familiar with GMP standards and ISO 13485 (desirable)
- Strong technical aptitude with a genuine passion for automation and a self-starter mindset
- Team player with excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn
