About the Job:
The Accountants Payable Coordinator will provide functional accounting support and be responsible for providing site cost details and investigating variances. Providing direct assistance to mine site personnel for their cost reviews and evaluation. The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of checks for payment of payables obligations of the company.
- Proficient in the use of computers and the software needed to maintain accounting records.
- Responsible for any special projects assigned.
- Maintain clear understanding and communications with other departments concerning payroll reporting and payables requirements.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis.
- Assists with month-end, quarter-end and year-end with payables information.
- Electronic folder maintenance of invoices, statements and approvals.
- Communicate and distribute invoices for approval and issue resolution.
- Review of vendor statements and correction as part of the finance accounts payable team.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-3 years’ experience in accounting/payroll field.
- Two years post-high school education in accounting preferred.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Advanced skills in critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.
- Advanced computer skills using a variety of computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Knowledge of and/or ability to perform tasks in Oracle, and Vena preferred.
- Work as a team member and communicate openly with others.
- Self-motivated and able to take leadership roles on many projects.
- Willing to stop work for safety concerns and always abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication to include interpersonal and interviewing skills, involving sensitive and confidential matters.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
Additional Information:
- 4, ten-hour days Monday through Thursday
- Quarterly bonus up to $4,100 (up to $16,400 annually)

- 6% dollar-for-dollar employer match to 401k or Roth, immediate vesting
