Essential Functions:

  • Deliver accurate and timely services in the following areas:
    • Full Cycle recruiting of hourly and salaried employees
    • Organize new employee orientation creating a positive first experience of the company, serving as a role model for Company values. Role may require conducting all or in part of the employee orientation.
    • Payroll processing
    • FMLA and Short-Term Disability management
    • Job movement /postings and headcount management
    • Assist in the tracking of Hourly Attendance
    • Assist in the talent management process
    • Assist leadership in the interpretation and administration of policies
    • Implement and maintain employee engagement and recognition programs
    • Assist and promote all training needs for both hourly and salary employees
    • Assist with maintenance apprenticeship and engineering internship programs
    • Continuous maintenance for data records, tracking and reporting
    • Process employee separations, exit interviews through online tools, and manage unemployment claims
  • Provides, prepares, and maintains a positive employee experience through various medias.
  • Inputs and maintains employee data in HRIS including hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for reporting.
  • Reviews and demonstrates an understanding of the existing human resources policies and procedures and initiates changes as necessary to ensure compliance with law, corporate policies and business objectives. Maintain working knowledge of all Federal, State, and local guidelines related to employment practices and the law.
  • Off-hours HR support, ensuring coverage across shifts
  • Supports, and may help in developing of HR-related policies, updates to current policies.

Qualifications Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management (or related field) 
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, in English.  Excellent interpersonal skills with a variety of levels within an organization, presentation/public speaking experience, demonstrated high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of applicable State and Federal employment laws.
  • Attention to detail and follow up
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
  • Advanced computer literacy with a high degree of accuracy including experience in Microsoft office and HRIS/Payroll systems

Qualifications Desired:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Manufacturing work experience.
