HSS is currently seeking an Housekeeping Manager (Bilingual - Spanish) or our operation in Norwich / Mashantucket area.
Job purpose
The Housekeeping Manager or often referred to as ExecutiveHousekeeper (EH) has complete responsibility and accountability for onsite HSSHousekeeping .Provide support and knowledge to the Executive Housekeeper andmanagement staff at the resort. Consistently meet quality and timelinessstandards along with budget objectives. In addition, maintaining a professionaland effective relationship with property management. An Executive Housekeepermust ensure company mission statement and values are followed, with the bestinterests of the company, its employees and customers as their motivator.
Duties and responsibilities
QUALITY
• Develop and maintain a high standard ofexcellence at the site level, according to site and HSS standards.
• Establish and monitor site goals.
• Attend all property management mandatorymeetings. (Staff, budget, security, others).
• Ensure site contractual obligations, companypolicies, standards and procedures are followed.
• Perform monthly operational Reviews.
• Inspect units daily and complete the requiredamount of report cards per week.
• Be knowledgeable of carpet cleaning procedures /equipment of each site.
• Monitor and strive to improve site quality scoresand report monthly scores (RCI, II, West, Internal) to management.
• Provide orientation to all new employees.
• Perform weekly departmental meetings.
• Perform weekly staff meetings.
• Training staff, both existing and new recruits
• Facilitate guidance to the Assistant inmonitoring progress of Staff.
• Handle all Trainee candidates at the resort.
• Provide support to the Area Supervisor onrecruiting, hiring and training qualified employees.
• Ensure a safe working environment on site andoffice.
TIMELINESS
• Prepare weekly schedules based on forecast. Thiswill ensure accurate staffing levels in order to have timeliness on largeturns.
• Plan work schedules to ensure adequate service.
• Willing and able to perform any and all dutiesrelated to site operation.
• Ensure a sense of urgency exists at each site sothat units are turned on time.
• Ensure all weekly reports are completed in atimely manner.
• Personal timeliness, be prompt for allappointments and meetings.
BUDGET
• Assist and give feedback of site budgets asnecessary.
• Review weekly site budget performance and enforcerecommendations for improvement.
• Quote prices for additional products / serviceswith the assistance of Area Managers, Corporate Director of Housekeeping or VPof Staffing.
MANAGER
• Recommend salary adjustments for staff as percompany guidelines.
• Maintain adequate inventory and equipmentsupplies. (Linen and House Wares)
• Approve site expenses up to
CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Build professional relationship with resortmanagement and other key members of the resort staff.
• Be approachable & always follow up.
• Create strong, positive customer relations.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems to meetcustomer’s needs.
• Conduct performance appraisals of staff asdictated by company policy.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to HSSpersonnel.
• Be knowledgeable of the complete resort.
• Solve guest complaints promptly.
• Have an open line of communication with resortmanagement.
• Maintain open line of communication with frontoffice.

Working conditions
Work is performed in a hotel setting and requires the ability tosit and stand for an extend amount of time. Work is also conducted outdoors andrequires the ability to walk and drive for an extended amount of time.
Physical/Visual requirements
• Frequent mobility, standing, walking, stairclimbing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
• Requires corrective vision and hearing to normalrange
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping and reaching
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard,calculator, copier machine, and other office equipment.
• Perform daily walk through of the property.

Compensation
Thepay range for this position is $60,000. This range represents the minimum and maximum pay that Hospitality Staffing Solutions reasonably and in good faith believes it will pay for this role at the time of posting.
