Compensation -  $84,000 - $93,000/annually

Location - South King County Clinic, Renton

Schedule - M-F 5 AM - 3 PM

Job Summary:

  • The Senior Social Services Supervisor at ETS carries the full responsibility of a Social Services Supervisor for their designated clinic while also serving in an elevated leadership role. This dual focus ensures both the continued high-quality supervision of social services at the clinic level and the advancement of agency-wide initiatives.
  • In addition to supervising social services staff, the Senior Social Services Supervisor provides mentorship and consultation to other Social Services Supervisors, helping to align practices, build leadership capacity, and strengthen service delivery across sites. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Behavioral Health, this role also acts as a delegate to move forward strategic projects related to the social services department and other social-service-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.
  • Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.
  • Clinic-Level Supervision
  • Carry out all duties of the Social Services Supervisor, including:
  • Direct oversight of social services staff.
  • Supervision and performance evaluations of assigned staff.
  • Support with outreach, engagement, service planning, housing navigation, health coordination, crisis intervention, documentation, and compliance.
  • Partnership with internal and external providers to reduce barriers and support Participant stability.
  • Maintain accountability for case management outcomes, quality of services, and alignment with ETS Philosophy of Care at the assigned clinic.
  • Mentorship & Consultation
  •  Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and consultation to Social Services Supervisors across ETS clinics.
  •  Support supervisors with complex case management issues, staff performance challenges, and professional development.
  •  Facilitate peer-learning opportunities and promote consistency in supervisory practices.
  • Delegated Leadership & Strategic Initiatives
  • Act as a delegate of the Associate Director of Behavioral Health to move forward agency-wide initiatives and special projects related to case management or other social services.
  • Lead or co-lead cross-site projects on documentation standards, quality improvement, and system alignment.
  • Provide input and updates to leadership, ensuring project goals and timelines are met.
  • Program Development & Alignment
  • Support program design, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts across the Social Services department.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to standardize policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Contribute to development of innovative practices that advance equity, access, and Participant outcomes.
  • Advocacy & Equity
  • Advocate for systemic changes that remove barriers to housing, healthcare, and recovery.
  • Champion ETS’s commitment to equity by identifying gaps and supporting inclusive practices in service delivery and supervision.
  • Represent ETS at external workgroups, community coalitions, and systems-level discussions related to social services and behavioral health.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.]
  • Minimum of six years working with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, or behavioral health challenges.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience, including direct staff supervision and mentoring/leadership of supervisors preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects or strategic initiatives in a social services or behavioral health setting.
  • Preferred
  • Master’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with ability to coach peers.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
  • Skilled in project management and system-level thinking.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and advocacy skills.
  • An understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently.
  • Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving.
  • Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information.
  • Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues.
  • Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change.

Additional Essential Information:

  • Physical Conditions and Requirements:
  • The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes or other bio-hazardous materials when carrying out job functions. There is also potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. ETS will provide employees with appropriate training to limit the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Policies and procedures are in place addressing each item specifically.The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and kneel; occasionally to climb balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
