Job Description Summary

Responsible for teaching Medical Arabic Elective in PSOM. Course will be open to all first- and second-year students. It would be taught in 2-hour sessions over the course of 8 weeks. No assessments or exams would be given, but students will be required to attend at least 7 of the 8 sessions to receive elective credit. Attendance will be taken.
This would be an introductory Arabic course geared towards new speakers. By the end of the course the students will have a basic understanding of Arabic pleasantries such as introductions, greetings, and goodbyes. The course would also cover medical terms such as body parts and high-yield ailments. Cultural competencies such as the one mentioned above would be sprinkled throughout the course as well.
