We are seeking a Training Developer to join our team and support our federal client in Alexandria, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess training needs and identify gaps in knowledge and skills for PeopleSoft HCM application.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Create instructional materials, such as training manuals, presentations, and multimedia content, that are interactive and learner centric.
  • Utilize various instructional design methodologies and techniques to ensure the effectiveness and impact of training programs.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtual, to facilitate learning and development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and metrics to measure knowledge transfer and performance improvement.
  • Update and revise existing training materials to reflect changes in processes, technology, or industry best practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in learning and development to continuously enhance training programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement innovative training solutions.
  • Maintain training records and documentation to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.

Work Experience and Job Skills:

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Experience with conducting needs assessments and evaluating training program effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to training and development.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent instructional design and training delivery skills, with the ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze training needs and develop appropriate learning objectives and assessments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing training materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and multimedia tools.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Certification in instructional design, training, or related field is a plus.
  • Possess DOD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher.

Communication Skills:

  • Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.

Travel:

  • This is an on-site position in Alexandria, VA

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
