The Senior Revenue Cycle Manager leads initiatives that ensure accurate claims processing, optimize recovery efforts, and drive revenue integrity across the organization. This role will oversee complex claim negotiations, manage offset strategies, and develop robust reporting frameworks to monitor financial performance and compliance.

This is a remote position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead high-value and complex claim negotiations with providers and third-party vendors.
  • Develop negotiation playbooks and train junior staff on best practices.
  • Design and implement offset strategies to recover overpayments and prevent revenue leakage.
  • Monitor offset activity across systems and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
  • Partner with IT and finance teams to automate offset tracking and reconciliation.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track recovery inventory from audit to invoicing including client performance, trends, and KPIs.
  • Analyze payment integrity data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of analysts and specialists.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with claims, billing, compliance, reporting and finance departments.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of payment integrity analysts, claims negotiators, and financial specialists.
  • Set clear performance goals, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular evaluations to foster professional growth.
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture aligned with organizational values.
  • Manage workload distribution, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely execution of strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-training and succession planning to build team resilience and adaptability.
  • Serve as a role model for ethical decision-making, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with CMS regulations, payer contracts, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
  • Experience with enterprise claims systems (e.g., Epic, Facets, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in payment integrity, claims management, or healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Proven success in leading negotiations and managing offsets in a complex payer/provider environment.

 

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.  Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:  federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.  Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.  The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range:  $71,696 – $110,701
