Citizens National Bank has an excellent opportunity available in local market for a Business Banking / Lending Specialist.  In this role you will assist lenders by performing clerical support and duties related to the data collection required for processing, administration, and closing of Commercial and Agricultural loans. This role will also meet with business customers to determine deposit and treasury management products and service needs. 

A typical day may include the following: 

  • Assist with the loan application process including, but not limited to, assisting with UCAS, obtaining credit reports, completing UCC Searches, ordering appraisals, title work, flood certifications, and other activities that may be required. Contact third party providers will be required as needed. 
  • Prospect new deposit and treasury management customers within the market by working with Business Banking Officers and City President to establish deposit relationships through joint calling efforts.
  • Collects loan closing information per documentation checklist for submission to loan processing department.
  • Prepare reports and file documents electronically. 
  • Assists with organizing loan documentation. 
  • May perform residential loan origination as needed in the Branch. 
  • Assists in researching information such as payments, advances, legal opinions, customer loan questions, etc. 
  • Works with Business Banking Officers and City Presidents in servicing new and existing deposit and treasury management customers. Identifies and resolves business client issues; acts as a liaison between the client and bank operations, BBO and other staff to ensure the delivery of quality services assuring client needs are met. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or higher in business, finance or related field. 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years experience preferred 
  • Must have stellar written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the bank's products and services, along with the applicable regulations and operating systems. 
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
