Job summary

The Geospatial Training and Support Specialist is responsible for providing software and hardware training and support to our surveying and engineering customers both on site and remotely.   

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Provide customer training and support on the following software and hardware:
  • Survey software including but not limited to Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center, Trimble Perspective, Spectra Precision Survey Pro and Spectra Precision Origin.
  • Survey hardware including but not limited to the Trimble R Series GNSS Receivers; Trimble S Series Robotic Instruments; Trimble SX12 Scanning Total Station; Trimble X9 and X12 Scanner; Spectra Precision SP Series GNSS Receivers; Spectra Precision Focus Series Robotic Instruments; and Trimble, Spectra Precision and Nikon Total Stations.
  • Provide training both on site with customers and online
  • Technical support via phone, email and online resources
  • Present at industry-related conferences and seminars
  • Develop training materials, both print and video
  • Support sales staff with demonstrations
  • Test and configure Trimble hardware and software

Requirements

  • Experience as a land surveyor.
  • Experience using Trimble and Spectra Precision software and hardware in the field.
  • UAS experience a plus.
  • Proven presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task, self-prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Overnight travel is required up to 60% of time.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Work experience and proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • This position will work in our Orlando, FL office when not in offsite training.
