The Graphic Designer Specialist develops and designs complex multimedia visual communications, often under tight deadlines. Projects include conference/event materials, internal marketing collateral, brochures, publications, and web page designs. This role involves creating visual concepts that meet customer needs and preparing designs for print, web, or multimedia products. Responsibilities include font selection, layout creation, illustration and photo editing, and adherence to style guides or corporate standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrates excellent customer service and represents Ricoh professionally
- Strong organizational, customer service, and follow-up skills
- Translates artistic concepts into visual media
- Designs using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver on Mac and PC
- Provides graphic consultation and support to internal and external stakeholders
- Produces print, packaging, advertising, point-of-purchase, and digital graphics
- Meets quality and design requirements
- Formats multipage documents using style sheets and mapping
- Stays current with industry trends and technologies
- Innovates within design constraints (cost, time, client needs)
- Complies with legal requirements related to duplication, printing, software, and fonts
- Adheres to production schedules and deadlines
- Consults with clients to define needs, budgets, and timelines
- Reviews proofs and coordinates with printers
- Manages digital asset libraries
- May lead and coordinate other designers
- Creates brand identities using logos, layouts, and color palettes
- Performs other tasks as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Design preferred, or equivalent coursework/certifications
- Intermediate to advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Proven design and layout experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Print production experience preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Strong graphic design and layout skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Team-oriented with positive, productive relationships
- Adaptable and flexible in changing environments
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- Detail-oriented, creative, and deadline-driven
- Office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels
- Internal and external contact with staff, clients, vendors, and the public
- Diverse work assignments requiring problem-solving and innovation
- Physical effort including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Moderate dexterity required for tools and equipment
