What will you do?

As part of our Built Environment service group, in this role you will be a key member of the delivery team designing a wide range of projects. Encompassing a blend of BIM co-ordination, modelling, documentation, and delivery management, this role will see you bringing our clients’ ideas to life.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. You will be part of our building services team, encompassing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire protection engineering, along with providing digital support and advice to our clients and projects.

The main aspects of this role include:

  • Coordinating the modelling of structural building designs working within our Built Environment team.
  • Multi-disciplinary experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Effectively setting up Revit models in ACC that will then be used by clients, architects, engineers, and modellers
  • Modelling and delivering building services projects in Revit, however experience of, or an interest in, programming further efficiencies in Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper or other software would be highly advantageous.
  • Co-ordinating with other disciplines by federating models for the early identification and resolution of clashes.
  • Facilitating virtual and mixed reality sessions for co-ordination and consultation purposes, and be interested in the research and implementation of new BIM technology into project work.
  • Strong team ethics with the ability to work independently.
  • Enthusiasm along with a passion for the building services industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles.
  • Works collaboratively across functional groups.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. Your previous experience in Structural Modelling will evidence your suitability for this role and a portfolio to demonstrate this would be welcome. Prior experience of, or an interest in, coordinating remote resources here in Australia and overseas would give you a head start. Demonstrated design experience in one or more engineering disciplines is not essential but will be an advantage.
