Your Key Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for creating and developing quality concepts and solutions for new product developments, series production, technology or process changes, and production line transfers. This position was created to ensure that all quality-related aspects are integrated into product development (PEP/APQP), process improvements, and other key manufacturing transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and establish concepts and solutions for all quality activities related to PEP (Product Engineering Process), technical process improvements, and production transfer projects, ensuring comprehensive coverage of quality requirements.
- Lead quality planning activities during the product development process (PEP and APQP), particularly during line transfers, to guarantee adherence to internal and external standards.
- Design and implement inspection concepts; define, select, and enhance gauges and test equipment as necessary to meet project or process requirements.
- Analyze and communicate quality-related matters within the PEP project team, and interface with global customers and suppliers as required (including through web portals).
- Serve as Project Engineer or Project Quality Engineer (with a focus on mechatronic PEP) in complex projects, driving quality initiatives and ensuring project objectives are met.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
- Proven ability to manage quality planning and control activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with experience working in cross-functional and global teams.
- Familiarity with APQP, PEP, inspection methodologies, and the use of test and measurement equipment.
