Role Description
Allianz have an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Account Manager to join the Team.
We’re seeking a proactive and commercially-minded individual to manage key strategic relationships with a portfolio of UK brokers. Acting as the primary point of contact, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term, profitable partnerships that support the business’s growth objectives.
You’ll coordinate the delivery of tailored propositions across internal teams to ensure we continue to build value-driven, sustainable trading relationships that align with both our strategic goals and broker needs.
This is a home based role.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £65,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Owns the individual broker profit and loss account, expenses and key performance indicators, managing the broker to deliver against Corporate Plan targets. Creates account plans and manages performance against plan, taking corrective actions where required. Manages virtual teams to deliver against plans.
- Manages the relevant stakeholders and governance processes and procedures.
- Develops, communicates and implements the individual broker strategy to deliver in line with Corporate Plan targets. Engages all supporting teams regularly to maintain focus.
- Develops strong relationships with the partnership(s) (existing and new customers) key personnel to fully understand their businesses, trading models and organisation structure to negotiate strong commercial outcomes and facilitate appropriate internal stakeholder engagement.
- Is responsible for execution of strategic projects and business initiatives to achieve planned business benefits.
- Keeps up-to-date with a combination of insurance market-emerging developments/trends and partner sector developments/trends and proactively works with partners and the business to understand the potential impact and drive discussion on change to evolve the business and strategy e.g. new technology, competitor activity, regulatory changes.
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership experience with track record of engaging and leading cross-functional teams to achieve customer-profitable growth objectives.
- Proven track record in account and relationship management and can demonstrate the ability to develop and implement customer strategies.
- Commercial-minded, able to understand the Company’s and customer’s strategy and identify opportunities for profitable growth.
- Broad business and commercial skills enabling informed decision-making and effective influencing.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with director level contacts (internal and external), with experience of developing joint strategies with effective influencing skills.
- Sound understanding of P&L, ability to interpret and take actions accordingly.
- Effective time management and able to organise resource across the business to meet customer and business requirements and priorities.
- Experience of project management.
- Excellent relationship management, networking, negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Close familiarity with the personal insurance market and its components.
- A strong understanding of the distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of the customer and broker propositions offered by the Allianz Group.
- Clear awareness of agency, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong financial acumen.
