The Moore is a landmark destination in the Miami Design District, comprised of a private members club, hotel and a collection of restaurants, retail, exhibition, event and office space. Housed in the District’s circa-1922 Moore building, the reimagined, nearly 90,000-square-foot space integrates two, four-story structures located at the intersection of NE 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue, and includes Elastika, the site-specific commission created by the late artist and architect Zaha Hadid for the inaugural Design Miami/ exhibition in 2005.

Position Overview
The Moore’s Director of Marketing and Communications will lead daily operations and execution of the property’s communications channels, leading owned, earned and paid channel strategies, social media, content production and marketing initiatives for all components of The Moore. The role will be responsible for growing audience, connecting membership to relevant, necessary content and ensuring all member- guest-facing channels exemplify the brand.
Position Responsibilities
- Create and execute strategies for social media accounts and lead all third-party partners such as digital marketing and PR.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and alignment across all departments, including Operations, Membership, F&B, Hotel, Private Events, and vendors.
- Execute daily, weekly and monthly communications (E-newsletters, text messages, push app notifications).
- Oversee brand partnership content deliverables (social media, e-mail, recaps, photography, etc.)
- Manage and maintain relationships with freelance photographers for event coverage and social media content.
- Act as local point of contact for PR related matters.
- Ensures compliance with brand guidelines and acts as a gatekeeper to verify that all public-facing written and visual assets accurately reflect them.
- Devising or modifying procedures to solve process problems that will result in more efficient productivity and higher caliber product.
- Develop brand voice for all communications strategies and maintain brand identity across all platforms.
- Gathering business objectives from operations teams and proposing marketing solutions to help achieve them.
Supportive Functions
- Attend mandatory meetings including departmental meetings, leadership meetings, etc.
- Participating in community events.
- Utilize traditional software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Micros, ADP, Open Table and any departmental specific systems used.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Commercial Director or Executive Leadership.
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.
- Ensure compliance with WoodHouse policies and procedures.
- The hospitality business functions seven days a week. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
Qualifications + Candidate Profile
- Proven work experience as a Communications Director or similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies
- Understand principles of copywriting, graphic design, layout and publishing
- Proficiency in social media platforms and social media marketing
- Impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities
- Experience working in editorial, media, public relations or other related field
- Experience building general marketing campaigns and strategies
- Attentive to detail and a stickler for
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related discipline is preferred
