Techtronic Industries North America, Inc. (TTI) will be hosting a Finance and Accounting Internship Program for the Summer 2026 Season. During this nine-week program, you will work in our Group Office located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. TTI is an innovative and rapidly growing organization where you will collaborate with mentors and an industry-leading management team with opportunities for both professional and personal development. For the culmination of the program, you will participate in a capstone project bringing together the different skills and experiences you have gained. This real-world experience will lend itself toward a foundational start for your career going forward!
We will offer focuses in the following areas:
- Accounting
- FP&A – Financial Planning and Analysis
- ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounting:
- Support forecasting and reporting activities by assisting with budget-to-actual comparisons, cost center spend reviews, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and provide insights to management.
- Assist with process improvements and collaboration by documenting workflows, partnering with business units on financial data needs, and participating in projects to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and enhance reporting tools by revamping Power BI dashboards, integrating Oracle HFM data, and streamlining manual processes through Power Query, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Support financial planning and analysis activities including preparation of monthly financials, management and Board presentations, competitor research (earnings call summaries), and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- ESG:
- Support ESG reporting and data management by assisting with the collection, input, and validation of Environmental and Social KPIs in systems such as Arcadia and Envizi, while helping document methodologies and timelines.
- Contribute to compliance and stakeholder reporting by researching ESG standards, preparing Board and Investor presentation materials, and participating in competitor benchmarking through earnings call summaries and conference analysis.
2026 Capstone Project:
Interns will collaborate on an ESG-focused initiative centered on strengthening TTI’s social data reporting. Interns will focus on collecting, cleaning, and structuring social metrics, improving the underlying data model, and creating clear reporting that highlights TTI’s progress in areas such as workforce, community, and diversity initiatives. At the end of the summer, interns will present their findings and recommendations to ESG and Finance leaders across the company.
- Accounting:
- Validate ESG-related costs, support variance analysis, and connect accounting data to sustainability reporting.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Apply Power BI and automation skills to design dashboards and reports that integrate sustainability data with financial insights for leadership.
- ESG:
- Collect ESG metrics, benchmark competitor performance, and help shape how TTI communicates its ESG progress.
Note: Employee's duties and responsibilities are not limited by the above. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by an employee’s supervisor. In addition to the basic requirements of the position, all employees are expected to meet the company's goals of continual improvement in the areas of knowledge, skills, processes, and quality.
Candidate must live in or relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL for the duration of the internship. The position is in-office full time.
Job / Employment Requirements:
- Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, and/or Finance (also will consider other related degree programs)
- Junior going into Senior Year or Senior going into a 1-Year Master’s Program
- Familiarity with Accounting and Finance Functions
- Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter who works well independently and in a team atmosphere
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet multiple deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Non-Exempt Position / Hourly Position
- $24/Hour
