Job Summary
The Team Lead provides hands-on leadership within greenhouse and production operations, overseeing planting, processing, harvesting, and shipping activities. This role guides team members to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards while supporting communication between staff and management. Flexibility is required, as the Team Lead may assist outside primary responsibilities when needed.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions
- Direct daily work of team members to meet production goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Serve as liaison between employees and management, escalating issues appropriately.
- Anticipate and communicate potential workflow disruptions.
- Address conflicts constructively; provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Train, evaluate, and hold employees accountable to policies and procedures.
- Facilitate daily huddles to set expectations and share updates.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork, metrics, and timesheets.
- Lead weekly safety toolbox talks and maintain safety documentation.
- Provide input to Plant Managers regarding team performance and attendance.
- Model company values and promote a positive, safe work environment.
- Coordinate with Greenhouse staff for plant pickups and product needs.
- Monitor productivity and quality, adjusting workflow to optimize efficiency.
- Prioritize assembly flow to meet order deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operate forklifts and carts when trained and certified.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in production, greenhouse, or general labor strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a greenhouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
