UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others!  We are currently seeking a full-time Eldercare Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of Sheltering Arms, our residential care home and provide Public Health nursing services and education to the community.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Works collaboratively with the VP of Eldercare Services to lead daily operations of the residential care home, ensuring high standards of resident care and safety
• Supervise and support Resident Attendant Supervisor to coordinate hiring, scheduling, coaching/counseling and training & development of staff
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs in compliance with regulatory standards
• Monitor and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to ensure quality care and satisfaction
• Expand UCFS presence within the local community through development and execution of public health initiatives, educational programs, networking, and health fairs.
• Respond promptly to resident and family concerns and resolve issues effectively

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing 
• 1-3 year’s experience with the eldercare population
• Supervisory, management and/or operational experience strongly preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut

• Proven experience in eldercare, geriatrics, or long-term care nursing management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance processes
• Ability to assess complex clinical situations and make sound decisions
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
