Description
UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a full-time Eldercare Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of Sheltering Arms, our residential care home and provide Public Health nursing services and education to the community.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with the VP of Eldercare Services to lead daily operations of the residential care home, ensuring high standards of resident care and safety
- Supervise and support Resident Attendant Supervisor to coordinate hiring, scheduling, coaching/counseling and training & development of staff
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs in compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to ensure quality care and satisfaction
- Expand UCFS presence within the local community through development and execution of public health initiatives, educational programs, networking, and health fairs.
- Respond promptly to resident and family concerns and resolve issues effectively

Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing
- 1-3 year’s experience with the eldercare population
- Supervisory, management and/or operational experience strongly preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut
Other Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in eldercare, geriatrics, or long-term care nursing management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance processes
- Ability to assess complex clinical situations and make sound decisions
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to eldercare
