SUMMARY:
Provide support for the audit department by accurately processing audit endorsements and other routine support tasks. Interact in a positive and professional manner with members of the audit team, outside vendors, and Atlantic Casualty’s Managing General Agents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately process non-productive audit endorsements
- Respond to audit vendors providing contact information or replying to general questions
- Communicate with our general agency partners by providing payment plan options for audits and responding to general inquiries and status requests
- Diary for audit payments and follow-up as necessary
- Set up tasks for audit disputes received from agents or insureds
- Daily maintenance of diaries
- Assist with administrative requests from collection vendor such as documents needed and providing updates
- Professionally assist with incoming calls to provide general status updates
- Certain special projects as deemed necessary
- Other functions as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum 1-year insurance experience and/or insurance educational classes, or related experience in policy processing or agency customer service is preferred. It is preferred that the candidate have a working knowledge of general liability policies/underwriting and is able to perform mathematical calculations.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as underwriting manuals, emails, faxes and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence in the English language using correct grammar and spelling. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Skill and ability to use and operate an adding machine, computer, phone system and copier. Ability to type 40 WPM. Working knowledge of most Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel. Excellent organization and communication skills, oral and written, are also a must.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in written or diagram form. Reasoning; dealing with problems involving a few variables in standard situations. Candidate must possess and be able to apply logical thinking skills and have the ability to think creatively.
