Summary of Position
The Senior Manager of Information Technology is responsible for leading the IT team and ensuring the organization’s technology needs are met in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. This role oversees the management of existing IT systems, the implementation of upgrades, and the deployment of new technologies that support business objectives. The Senior Manager provides hands-on leadership in managing IT staff, consultants, vendors, and resources to deliver reliable service and innovative solutions. Working closely with business leaders, this role ensures the technology infrastructure aligns with the company’s goals and supports operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of progressive IT experience, with 3–5+ years in a management role
- Proven ability to lead IT teams and manage enterprise IT environments
- Strong background in implementing and supporting enterprise IT systems, cloud platforms, and data analytics environments
- Experience in IT systems and operations within large or diverse business settings
- Budget management experience, including forecasting and cost control
- Skilled in project management, system integration, and IT architecture
- Proficient in enterprise data management, BI tools, and database administration
- Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise software (e.g., NetSuite, ADP, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, BI tools)
- Familiarity with networks, telecom, end-user computing, and help desk operations
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, threat detection, and risk mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate IT vision, strategy, and roadmaps that align with business priorities
- Manage IT operations, infrastructure, and systems to ensure stability, security, and efficiency
- Lead and mentor the IT team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
- Oversee the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while delivering initiatives on time and on budget
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs, prioritize projects, and support business objectives
- Implement and manage robust cybersecurity measures and compliance practices
- Ensure disaster recovery, data backup, and business continuity processes are in place
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Monitor and report on IT performance metrics, projects, and results for executive leadership
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations
Work Environment
- Standard office environment with occasional need for extended hours during critical projects or system issues
- Ability to lift or move computer equipment (up to 25 lbs) when needed
