General Summary: Serve as University School of Milwaukee’s (USM) primary greeter and receptionist. This individual is responsible for guests’ first impressions, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents, and visitors while ensuring outstanding and professional customer service in every interaction, as well as courteously supporting the school’s safety and security protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet all incoming students, families, and guests respectfully and professionally, determining their needs and directing them to the proper person or location.
- Answer calls and inquiries in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing and creating a positive image and first impression of USM.
- Manage the visitor management and registration check-in system; provide appropriate identification stickers according to policy.
- Assist incoming substitute teachers and direct them to the proper division.
- Support Security staff to facilitate response to emergency situations.
- Receive and distribute miscellaneous materials dropped off.
- Be knowledgeable and current on school activities, programs, and events related to the school calendar.
- Manage resources efficiently.
- Work collaboratively and effectively within the USM administrative support team as well as with USM teaching and support staff.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with the USM community at large.
- Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED minimum.
- Previous experience in a school or non-profit environment is preferred.
