Join our team of technical professionals as a 2-Way Radio and Technical Systems Installer.

Build a career installing and servicing critical communications and technical support systems for industry, emergency services, health care and education. Earn professional certifications and work directly with our customers. Provide workmanship of the highest quality in the installation and maintenance of sophisticated electronic equipment and systems. Present a professional attitude and maintain a great work ethic.

We sell, service, design and install radio repeater systems, fire station alerting systems, public address equipment, distributed antenna systems, cell phone booster systems, security camera systems, access control systems, uninterruptible power supplies, servers, switches, PTP Links and more. Systems include all types of mounting hardware, cables, antennas, operator interface computers, devices and power.

Responsibilities

Install all system components in accordance with industry standards and best practices. This work is on our customers’ commercial and industrial properties and not residential.

System component installations include installing ethernet, RF coaxial, fiber cables, antennas and equipment in ceilings, through walls, inside and outside of buildings, in equipment rooms, on rooftops and anywhere that our commercial customers are located. Cables and equipment may be installed in offices, emergency and 911 communication centers, hospital emergency rooms, school bus garages, steel refinery, factories, warehouses or other industrial buildings, office buildings, police and fire departments, correctional facilities, airports and more.

You will build and wire up racks of equipment to specification and deliver the equipment to the customer site. Equipment may be delivered in a pickup truck, trailer, or leased box truck with lift gate. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. You will be responsible for driving a company vehicle.

Work directly with our customers to ensure their needs and expectations are met. Plan installation procedures and manage projects to completion. Verify the needed parts and material are available and complete all required paperwork on time.

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the applicable safety protocol. You will use an extension ladder, mobile hydraulic man lift, equipment dolly, hand and power tools and be 10 Hour OSHA qualified to act as the responsible party for safety on site.

The position requires basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets and various computer and phone applications. You will prepare and maintain clear and orderly project documentation and be responsible for keeping company and customer data secure.

Participate in the Field Department’s responsibilities for inventory, scheduling vehicle maintenance, training, customer satisfaction and finding new opportunities.

Be available to travel out of town on occasion to meet customer needs and for training.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to understand, apply, and troubleshoot mechanical principles, tools, and systems.

Must physically be able to lift 50 lbs., work holding tools overhead, maneuver into and out of awkward spaces and work on ladders and other elevated locations. Stand for extended periods of time, hike some distance up a hill to a remote communications tower location and occasionally work outside in inclement weather.

Candidates must have the ability to work independently, enthusiasm for learning new skills, be motivated to research to find new methods and to take pride in their professional craft.

Ability to prepare for advancement and achieve industry standard certifications including Motorola R56 Communications Site installer, ETAI Certified Electronics Technician Journeyman

Prefer:

Hands-on electromechanical systems installation and repair experience.

Computer networking and installation expertise.

Expert use of hand and power tools.

Formal Electronics and Information Technology Education and Training.

Ability to work from blueprints, schematics and drawings and participate in system design.

Compensation:

Full Time Hourly Position

$25.00 to $35.00 per hour
