The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the sales and marketing teams and external customers in a professional manner that supports enhanced service standards and contributes to the overall sales strategy. The incumbent will be external customers first point of contact and throughout the life cycle of the account. The Sales Support Specialist will aid in the development, maintenance, and reporting of sales program, presentations, materials, resources, and data analytics. 


Essential Job Functions:

• Administer sales programs through first point of contact sales tactics and communication including documentation of cooperative advertising, rebates, show and promotional programs.

• Maintain claim process through approvals or denial of claims, appropriate data management, record keeping and retention, order entry and issuance of credit memos. 

• Maintain and monitor new accounts and contracts through administration and communication methods to ensure compliance and accuracy including account requests, validity, and status. 

• Responsibility for credit administration of promotions, programmatic and cooperative advertising. 

• Coordinate efforts with trade groups to ensure maximization of cooperation and efforts. 

• Administer direct to consumer activities for wholesaler retailer programs. 

• Track and administer our MRP program. 

• Gain proficiency in Price Spider for monitoring and tracking necessary reseller data. 

• Use analytics to maintain and update sales data including product data, images, customer data, Salsify, price files, contracts, and specification sheets. 

• Monitor, track, and resolve sales related deductions and shortages using dispute resolution methods specific to each customer. 

• Coordinate and support meeting and show preparations including training, national shows, sales meetings, and presentations. 

• Develop key reports and analytics for promotions, new items, planogram, sales progress, promotions, and POS. 

• Maintain sales leads lists within databases and platforms to produce mailings and track leads to impact the sales strategy. 

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Human Resource department to maximize impact of onsite and local events while increasing engagement and Channellock’s community footprint.

· Ability to develop long term relationships. 

· Confident verbal and written communication and presentation skills

· High attention to detail

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize changing responsibilities while maintaining data accuracies. 

· Ability to manage and prioritize high call volume or inquiries while handling complex transactions. 


Education/Experience

· Bachelors’ degree in a related field or study.

· 1-3 years of customer service or analytical decision making


Physical Requirements

· Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds or less
