As the Advanced Operator Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide support the Fleet Project Team (FPT) in delivering advanced training capabilities to the Fleet and Fleet Replacement Squadrons (FRS). This role provides direct support to Fleet TYCOMS, PMAs, and NAWCTSD across a wide range of initiatives, including trainer development, test and evaluation, and mission execution support. The position requires deep technical knowledge of the F/A-18C-F and EA-18G platforms, NGTS, and additional simulator systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent FPT interests at various programmatic meetings and events supporting both Collateral and Advanced Systems Trainers (AST).
- Coordinate early System Performance Assessments and validation efforts with stakeholders.
- Provide expert-level knowledge in Mission Planning, NGTS Operations and Integration, Initial Conditions (IC) Set Development, and other training programs
- Train Fleet and FRS aircrew in simulator operations and limitations.
- Ensure integration and alignment of new training systems with evolving Fleet requirements and existing hardware/software ecosystems.
- Lead government representation as Test Director or Test Conductor for hardware/software delivery and upgrade events.
- Develop test plans, kneeboard cards, execution schedules, and test matrices for training system validation.
- Support review and validation of OEM-provided technical and test documentation.
- Support NGTS User Group (NUG) forums and Program Increment (PI) planning efforts.
- Provide operator and aircrew training on simulator capabilities, limitations, and systems operations. (Collateral trainers and Advanced System Trainers).
- Conduct annual operator training for contracted instructors, ensuring all personnel are current with system usage, limitations, and updates.
- Train Fleet sites on newly installed training systems.
- Manage embedded NGTS scenario databases and support simulator configurations and customization.
- Up to 20% travel will be required to participate in test & evaluation events, design & requirements reviews, and other test and other program-related events.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with Navy training systems, aircrew operations, or test and evaluation, required.
- Deep understanding of FA/EA-18 trainer ecosystems, and expertise in NGTS, SCS testing, and simulator operations, required.
- Must have demonstrated experience in government test plan development and validation cycles.
- Former Naval Aviator or Naval Flight Officer (NFO), preferred.

Security Clearance Requirement:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Salary Range:
- The estimated salary range for this position will be $175,000 - $185,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
