Mortgage Closing Assistant chez First State Bank

First State Bank is seeking a Mortgage Closing Assistant at the Overland Park location.   If you have experience with mortgage loan files after closing, this may be a good fit for you!  

40 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Mortgage Closing Assistant will perform all duties required of this position by following policies and procedures set forth by First State Bank, including, but not limited to:

• Print checks and prepare wire transfers to distribute funds after loan closing. 
• Reviews documents after signing for accuracy.
• Sends the recording documents to the title company for filing. 
• Completes the funding milestone within Encompass and prepares the closing package for shipping, including scanning docs and registering the loan with MERS.
• Handles miscellaneous follow-up items on the loan after closing.
• Periodically serves as a back-up for the front desk Receptionist during lunches, breaks and vacations.

 Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree required.
