VP, OEM & Industry Relations chez Repairify

Overview:

Summary/objective
Repairify is revolutionizing the automotive repair industry with advanced diagnostic tools, analytics, and a unique blend of OEM and aftermarket technologies. As the Vice President of OEM & Industry Relations, you will serve as the primary ambassador for Repairify, to drive growth and strategic partnerships at Repairify. This executive-level role will foster high-level relationships with key stakeholders across the automotive and collision industries and positioning the brand as a thought leader in the automotive ecosystem. This role is pivotal in strengthening Repairify’s influence and partnerships across the automotive and technology sectors while ensuring alignment with key industry standards and emerging trends.

Industry Partnerships:
Develop and execute partnership strategies across four key areas:
•
OEMs: Build and maintain relationships with original equipment manufacturers both at the Procurement level, and at the executive leadership level.
•
Insurance Carriers: Collaborate with insurance companies to understand their business, how Repairify’s suite of products and services can support them, and drive business growth.
•
Collision Industry Partners: Foster partnerships with the different collision industry companies and organizations that work with, and support collision repair shops. Examples of this would be collision software companies, and industry associations.
•
Focus on automotive diagnostics R&D from U.S. Automotive Legislature. Monitor and engage with U.S. automotive legislative and regulatory developments related to diagnostics and R&D, including building relationships with policymakers, identifying opportunities and risks, and communicating key updates to the executive team to inform strategy.
Business Development:
•
Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and new business initiatives.
•
Ensure Repairify’s solutions are integrated into the OEM ecosystem and meet regulatory and technical requirements.
•
Represent Repairify in high-level discussions and negotiations with industry partners to advance product development, technology adoption, and innovation.
•
Represent Repairify at major industry events, conferences, and forums, positioning the company as a leader in automotive technology and repair solutions.

Provide leadership on important industry initiatives, helping to shape the future of automotive repair, diagnostics, and safety standards.

Work closely with industry regulators, standard-setting bodies, and other stakeholders to influence policy, best practices, and new technology adoption.
Relationship Management:
•
Find, nourish, and maintain high-level executive relationships across the collision industry.
•
Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), ensuring Repairify’s solutions align with industry standards and customer needs.
•
Lead the effort to secure strategic partnerships with leading OEMs, aftermarket suppliers, and key automotive technology providers.
•
Advocate for Repairify’s vision and mission to external stakeholders, strengthening the company’s reputation and influence within the automotive and tech communities.
Market Intelligence and Strategic Insights:

Gather and analyze industry intelligence to understand market dynamics, competitor positioning, and emerging trends in automotive technology, diagnostics, and repair solutions.

Collaborate with the product and technology teams to ensure Repairify’s offerings are aligned with customer needs and market demand.
•
Provide strategic guidance on product development and service offerings based on insights from OEM partners, industry events, and customer feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
•
Work closely with the executive team, sales, marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align industry relations efforts with broader company goals and strategies.
•
Ensure clear communication and a unified approach across departments to foster collaboration and maximize Repairify’s visibility in the market.
•
Advocate for the importance of strategic industry relationships in driving innovation, customer satisfaction, and company growth.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Technology, or Marketing) or commensurate experience.
• 8+ years of executive leadership experience in business development or related field
• 8-10 years in industry relations, strategic alliances, or public relations, preferably in the automotive, technology, or related sectors.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with a proven track record of representing a company at conferences, industry panels, and media engagements.
• In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, specifically OEM standards
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) are a plus
• Relevant certifications, such as I-CAR or OEM-specific training
• Established network of industry contacts and relationships
• In depth knowledge of OEM standards, automotive repair technologies, diagnostics, and the role of data and analytics in vehicle performance and safety
• Proven ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with industry influencers, regulatory bodies, and thought leaders in the automotive repair industry.
• Extensive network within the automotive repair and technology industries, including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and industry influencers.
• Experience in public speaking, media relations, and industry advocacy is highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and drive initiatives from inception to execution.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to influence strategic decisions and drive long-term partnerships that align with Repairify’s goals.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.
Physical demands
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
