What will you do? Make an impact!
As a Part-Time Environmental Technician, you will be assisting in the collection, segregation, and classification of different types of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) at HHW Collection Events. These events will strictly be held on Saturday's in the Spring and Summer.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Offload incoming household hazardous waste to designated stations.
- Sort and categorize materials by set criteria.
- Work with Chemists to maintain efficient material flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Do you have what it takes?
- High School Diploma or equivalent; pursing a degree in environmental science, chemistry, or related field is preferred
- Ability to execute plans and follow standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with transportation equipment
- Willingness and ability to adapt job tasks to current conditions
- Willingness to attend OSHA training during beginning of tenure
