Marketing Director, Digestive Health - Miralax 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Marketing Director, Digestive Health - Miralax are to: 

 

The Marketing Director is responsible for setting the category vision innovation strategy and long-term strategies for Digestive Health including a Global Drive Brand (Iberogast), Regional Drive Brand (Miralax), Compete Brand (Alka-Seltzer), and Harvest brand (Phillips). 

The incumbent is also ultimately responsible for achieving the short and long-term financial commitments of the businesses as stated in the budget. To do this, the US Marketing Director coaches the Sr. Brand and Brand Managers who manage the day-to-day responsibilities, annual brand planning, and brand positioning.

 

This role also interacts with crossfunctional leaders and Senior Management to ensure that appropriate resources are devoted to Digestive Health.

  • Manages and delivers Digestive Health portfolio profits and losses, in addition to allocated budgets; collaborates with Finance to deliver financials to leadership;
  • Delivers marketing plans which are in line with CH U.S. strategy and operational objectives; defines budget allocations and task delegations to deliver on business commitments;
  • Sets key performance indicators to track efficiencies of marketing promotion and information (i.e., P&L) budget spend;
  • Leverages initiatives from peer marketing teams when creating marketing plans to efficiently deliver profit goals to the division;
  • Oversees execution of marketing plans and allocates resources for multiple brands, other functional teams, and external vendors;
  • Approves advertising copy and media plans, consumer and trade promotion strategies, package design, and market research plans;
  • Leads relationships with external partners, vendors, and third party manufacturing companies;
  • Understands the impact of consumer and customer trends on the in-scope brands’ plans, revenue, and profit; provides recommendations to strategy;
  • Identifies business opportunities through full understanding of the interrelationships of key financial indicators and their impact on the division’s top-line and bottom-line;
  • Coaches team to achieve category/brand objectives and clearly stated standards of performance by leading through example;
  • Builds required capabilities against road maps developed with senior management; creates actions plans which detail how to build capabilities within the team;
  • Manages, coaches, mentors, and develops team as well as indicted supports to inspire high performance and professional growth;
  • Champions and leads organizational processes (e.g., business planning, recruiting, and training) to promote continuous improvement and overachievement of financial objectives;
  • Maintains a long-term, bigpicture view of the organization’s goals, foresees obstacles, and opportunities, and generates breakthrough ideas individually and with the team;
  • Applies broad knowledge and seasoned experience when addressing complex issues, taking into account all critical information when making decisions.

Required Qualifications:

 

 

  • Previous demonstration of success in the marketplace and as an organizational leader required.
  • Builds effective teams, cultivates innovation, learning and change agility, customer focus, action oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans & aligns, drives stakeholder engagement, effectively manages suppliers;
  • Excellent financial management skills to critically and objectively assess programs and cost investments versus results; ability to streamline operational processes;
  • Superior analytical ability, assessing different models and related outputs, with understanding of impact;
  • Excellent communication skills required;
  • Must be able to create an environment that encourages innovation and risk taking;
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortability with digital programs and platforms, including strong MS Office skills;
  • Thorough knowledge of digital strategy development, digital strategies, channels, and measurement/analytics;
  • Takes activist ownership of brand/category bottom line, has experience owning L.O.B. budgets and results.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with at least 9 years of CPG/healthcare marketing experience or MBA with at least 7 years of CPG/healthcare marketing experience.

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $176,049 to $264,074.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
