The hiring range for this opportunity is $25.00 to $35.50 hourly along with incentive opportunities and is commensurate with qualifications and experience, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location.
POSITION SUMMARY - Commercial Loan Officer II
The position of Commercial Loan Servicing Officer II is responsible for supporting a medium and or complex portfolio of customers performing a variety of duties related to the processing of commercial, real estate, and construction loans with minimum supervision. Responsibilities include performing a variety of loan servicing duties for an assigned commercial loan portfolio to ensure satisfactory credit risk management, compliance with loan covenants and bank policies and procedures. Works directly with Relationship Managers, Commercial Loan Underwriters, Loan Originations, Branch and support department personnel and clients.
POSITION SUMMARY - Commercial Loan Officer III
The position of Commercial Loan Servicing Officer III is responsible for supporting a large and or complex portfolio of customers performing a variety of duties related to the processing of commercial, real estate, and construction loans with minimum supervision. Responsibilities include performing a variety of loan servicing duties for an assigned commercial loan portfolio to ensure satisfactory credit risk management, compliance with loan covenants and bank policies and procedures. Works directly with Relationship Managers, Commercial Loan Underwriters, Loan Originations, Branch and support department personnel and clients.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Commercial Loan Officer II
- Under the direction of the Relationship Manager, proactively handles customer issues, monitors accounts/portfolios/loan bookings to assure compliance with regulatory and company policies; tracks compliance and reports/escalates identified issues for resolution.
- Assists Relationship Manager in activities such as interest calculations, fees calculations, borrowing base monitoring and preparing/maintaining tracking spreadsheets.
- Monitors and acts on assigned portfolio to minimize delinquency rate within target portfolio standards.
- Assists Relationship Managers in collecting loan documentation on existing or potential customers for credit analysis purposes. Collects necessary financial documents to satisfy tickler and renewal requirements.
- Helps with customer onboarding, due diligence and other associate risk management matters where required. Analyzes applicant documentation and reviews legal entity documentation to determine account/loan signers.
- Orders DMV reviews, flood certificates, UCC searches, preliminary title reports and environmental reports as needed.
- Reviews preliminary title policies for accuracy and requests endorsements and lien releases as needed to perfect the bank’s lien position. Prepares lender’s instructions accurately.
- Reviews all documents for accuracy and obtains underwriting approval for any changes. Input missing or modified information into nCino to ensure superior customer service and relationship management.
- Prepares and submits complete files for Loan Documentation. After credit approval, compiles all necessary information and documents required as a condition of loan approval according to the loan product/program.
- Coordinates loan documentation and loan closings establishing reasonable customer expectation for loan document signing and loan closing for all commercial loans.
- Reviews the e-signature envelope of the final loan documents ready for electronic signing to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to sending to the borrower.
- Assists with processing or approving transactions such as payments, advances, and draws. Research account relationship information in the Core system, such as balances, accrued interest, payment due, etc.
- Helps with document imaging including scanning of customer financial information, loan documentation and uploading documents from a centralized location to the imaging system. May also be required to provide quality control.

- Assists CLSO manager with leading and preparing training sessions for the CLSO team.
- Assists CLSO manager with running and preparing agendas for weekly team huddle meetings.
- Helps CLSO manager with new hire training and coaching.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES - Commercial Loan Officer II and III
- Maintains a current understanding of Bank procedures and policies, including regulatory compliance issues relating to lending that include but are not limited to, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) Regulation B, Regulation Z, Flood Insurance, Fair Lending, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/CIP/SARs/Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Community Reinvestment Act, Information Security Guidelines, Identity Theft Red Flags, and Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts or Practices.
- Prepares and reviews Ag tracking files as necessary to ensure client remains within budget.
- Manages and coordinate administrative activities related to FarmerMac loans.
- Attends all required training for professional growth.
- Interacts with various departments and participates in cross-functional teams to execute ongoing and ad-hoc projects.
- Actively participates in all Lean training and value stream mapping along with demonstrating knowledge of the Five Key Lean Principles taught. Embraces and exhibits a lean thinking mindset and applies root cause problem-solving to make incremental improvement through waste reduction and streamlining of work. Continually looks for creative ways to improve workflow processes efficiently and effectively for scalability and sustainability while meeting customer needs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED - Commercial Loan Officer II
- Associate of Arts degree and 5 years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of financial institution operations, sales, or customer service background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
- Ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
- Familiarity with Treasury Management products and services.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to handle change, possess the ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms.
- Ability to utilize various Windows driven programs, including outlook, excel spreadsheets, word processing, agricultural crop tracking and budgeting programs.
- Two or more years’ experience as a Commercial Loan Servicing Officer I or equivalent experience.
- Notary preferred
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED - Commercial Loan Officer III
All listed above and:
- Three years of loan processing experience and working knowledge of commercial loan transactions including but not limited to understanding of appraisals, insurance, preliminary title reports and flood. Experience with nCino preferred.
- Assists in managing the most complex commercial loans.
- Notary required.
- Two or more years’ experience as a Commercial Loan Servicing Officer II or equivalent related job experience.
