BROILER FIELD SUPERVISOR chez None

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Manages and advises the contract grower concerning company objectives, production practices, and acceptable industry animal production methods.
2. Manages and instructs new growers on growing chickens according to company objectives and production practices.
3. Manages and advise growers with existing changing production practices for broilers.
4. Relay all grower problems to the Regional Manager and Assistant Manager.
5. Communicate to growers and manage the flock catch schedule.
6. Communicate to growers and manage the chick placement.
7. Calculate and order all final feed.
8. Manage and evaluate bird health to include the ordering of flock treatments to include probiotics, vitamins, and minerals.
9. Estimate market size bird weights weekly.
10. Record and report seven-day mortality.
11. Maintain a daily travel log.
12. Provide information to Regional Manager and Assistant Manager about all broiler health problems.
13. Participate and contribute in Supervisor training meetings.
14. Select broiler for coccidiosis surveys and assist the company veterinarian in post mortem examinations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
