Overview:

INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly accomplished Chief Engineer Scientist (CES) to serve as the senior technical authority supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The CES will act as the prime technical spokesperson for the contractor, providing enterprise-level leadership across multiple programs and shaping the organization’s long-term technical strategy in alignment with U.S. Air Force and Intelligence Community (IC) mission priorities.

The CES will guide advanced research and development initiatives, architect innovative technological applications, and influence policy, planning, and budget decisions at the highest levels. This role requires a recognized subject-matter authority capable of representing INTECON’s technical capabilities to senior DoD and IC leadership, while mentoring and directing diverse teams of engineers and scientists across large-scale, mission-critical portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership across multiple programs and portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment with NASIC and USAF priorities.
  • Serve as the prime technical spokesperson for INTECON, representing contractor technical capabilities and future direction to senior Government and IC stakeholders.
  • Define long-term research and development priorities, guiding investment in emerging technologies, advanced computational methods, and innovation initiatives.
  • Shape organizational technical strategies to align with defense mission needs, digital transformation, and intelligence modernization efforts.
  • Design and guide the creation of new technological applications and advanced systems, moving beyond incremental improvements.
  • Act as a recognized authority in technical fields, providing executive-level briefings, white papers, and recommendations on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Mentor and direct senior engineers, scientists, and technical teams across large-scale and multi-program portfolios.
  • Engage with DoD, IC, academia, and industry partners to foster technical collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint innovation.


Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI at time of hire; must be able to maintain TS/SCI eligibility and comply with polygraph if required.


Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in a relevant engineering, scientific, or technical field.
    • o Equivalent substitutions (20 years of experience; Bachelor’s degree + 16 years; Master’s + 12 years) may be considered.
  • At least 10 years with DoD or IC programs.
  • Demonstrate strategic technical depth and ability to advise NASIC/AFLCMC leadership at the enterprise level.
  • Recognized subject-matter authority within the relevant technical field, with proven expertise supporting DoD/IC missions.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and guide the implementation of innovative technological applications.
  • Exceptional briefing and executive-level presentation skills, with experience engaging senior Government and industry stakeholders.
  • Proven record of leading large-scale R&D, systems engineering, or intelligence technical projects.
