Job Summary:
Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. The Sew Pullstrap plays a crucial role in the production line when making a boot. The Sew pullstrap is responsible for aligning pullstraps and lining them to proceed with the sewing. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
All responsibilities mentioned below can be modified but not limited based on the company’s needs.
- Receives workload from previous workstation or/and supervisor.
- Review ticket to follow instructions and procedures.
- Align parts to ensure proper assembly.
- Sew pullstraps into the lining.
- Thread machine, change needles, and adjust sewing machine as needed.
- Cut excessive thread.
- Operate and maintain sewing machines to include needles, blades, and cutting tools.
- Meet production goals in terms of speed, accuracy and quantity.
- Perform quality checks on finish product.
- Pass it to the next working station.
- Report any issues regarding the sewing machines to the supervisor.
- Follow safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
- Responsible to keep working area always clean.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Training: Open to learn and perform cross training in different areas.
- Leadership: Ability to lead by example and obtain support from co-workers and work independently and as part of a team.
- Skills: Strong team player with ability to communicate effectively.
Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Industrial sewing experience preferred.
