The roles within ScriptPro’s Field Operations department involve direct interaction with customers, which provides an unique opportunity to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. These teams are involved with the implementation and maintenance of our customer’s environment and infrastructure. This is a technical and collaborative role with the ability to make an impact on pharmacy systems.
Job Summary: The Supervisor, Network Engineering is responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day operation of ScriptPro’s Network Engineering team. Job functions include leading the team through continuous improvement, focusing on each team members’ professional development while staying connected to project timelines and the company’s goals, and representing the Network Engineering team in meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Implementation Engineering Services
Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. This is a hybrid position with a combination of in office and remote work. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of ScriptPro’s Network Engineering team, guiding the team on how to get the most from self-organization
- Assist in the development and maintenance of processes and documentation, including technical specifications and testing plans
- Work with the team to document technical requirements and standards for implementation, migration and support projects
- Advocate and lead the group in sourcing/developing new tools to increase efficiency
- Work with other department resources to facilitate process improvements and efficiencies
- Assist in the development of training and mentoring plans for team members
- Guide the team to remove impediments to aid in project success
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion or dictating the work
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Act as the Networking Engineering representative in meetings, assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Provide regular departmental reports to management
- Support ScriptPro sales team members by conducting scope evaluations and participating in pre-contract discussions with customers
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business technology or computer science discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of networking experience combined with strong security experience
- Experience architecting complex solutions
- Proven record of applying problem-solving and analytical skills to attain goals and strategic initiatives
- Experience delivering solutions based on data-driven decision making/results
- Knowledge of industry best practices for installing, deploying, documenting, and troubleshooting network security technologies, including vulnerability assessments, firewalls, etc.
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Methodically minded with a strong attention to detail and strategy
- Ability to collaborate and lead Subject Matter Experts to solve complex problems
- Independent, motivated, and a critical thinker
- Productive, organized, and able to complete work within a scheduled time frame
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task various projects in different stages of development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible schedule to accommodate fast-paced projects/initiatives, as necessary
- Agile and able to adapt to changing procedures
- Applicable knowledge of technologies used by the team; specifically the use of Cisco Defense Orchestrator, Visual Studio, Siebel, TFS, and reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior leadership experience with a focus on leading development teams
- Experience with ScriptPro’s product line
- Experience working with Information Technology professionals from outside organizations
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- Cisco Certified Network Professional
Remote Work Requirements:
- Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
- Must have a distraction free home office workspace
- Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)
