As a Parts Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for customers and our internal team when it comes to parts, service, and support. Every day, you’ll help keep our shop and our customers’ fleets moving by:
- Assisting customers in person, over the phone, and by email—identifying needs, recommending solutions, and providing accurate cost estimates.
- Locating and supplying parts from stock, ordering from vendors, or sourcing locally.
- Supporting sales growth by promoting services such as PM packages, mobile fleet service, and compactor support.
- Maintaining an organized parts room, monitoring inventory levels, and issuing purchase orders when needed.
- Processing warranty claims, invoices, and payments with accuracy and professionalism.
- Collaborating with the service and shipping departments—helping with inventory counts, receiving, deliveries, and occasional forklift use.
What are the qualifications we’re looking for?
- Technical Knowledge – Prior experience with heavy truck parts or hands-on repair knowledge.
- Valid Driver’s License – Clean driving record; ability to obtain and maintain a DOT physical.
- Education – High school diploma or GED required.
- Customer Service – Proven experience assisting customers, offering advice, and building strong relationships.
- Communication Skills – Clear and professional in person, on the phone, and in writing.
- Problem-Solving – Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-driven.
- Attention to Detail – Highly accurate, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Computer Skills – Comfortable with Outlook email/calendar; ERP system experience a plus.
- Inventory Management – Strong organizational skills; prior cycle count experience helpful.
- Warehouse Equipment – Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand carts, and forklifts (training available).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance
- Willingness to pass a DOT physical exam
