Milton Hershey School (MHS), a world-renowned private residential school serving over 2,200 students from Pre-K through 12th grade, is seeking skilled and compassionate Hairstylists/Braiders to join our team at Spartan Styles, the on-campus hair salon. This is a unique opportunity to use your talents to support the well-being and confidence of students from diverse backgrounds. As a Hairstylist/Braider at MHS, you will demonstrate:
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in a wide range of hair services including washing, blow drying, braiding (cornrows, box braids, French braids, feed-in braids), twists/coils (comb, two-strand, locs/dreads), re-twisting, and haircuts (scissor and clipper).
• Cultural Competence: Experience working with multi-textured and multicultural hair types, with sensitivity to the unique grooming needs of children and youth.
• Instructional Ability: Educate students on personal grooming and hygiene practices to promote healthy hair care habits.
• Professionalism: Maintain a polished demeanor, punctuality, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with a diverse team and interact respectfully with students, staff, and families.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work a part-time schedule (up to 29 hours/week), primarily Monday–Thursday afternoons, with occasional Friday and Saturday shifts.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Current PA State Cosmetology or Barber License (required)
• Experience in a professional salon setting (preferred)
• Prior experience working with children and youth (preferred)
• Basic digital literacy (Microsoft & Google applications; Internet use)
• Spanish language skills (a plus)
