Position Overview
Join D2 Government Solutions as the Lead Unarmed Security Escort at a federal headquarters in downtown Louisville. In this role, you’ll oversee daily security operations, coordinate guard schedules, ensure compliance with post orders, and serve as the primary point of contact for building security and client representatives. You’ll set the standard for professionalism, situational awareness, and effective incident response.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of unarmed security escorts, ensuring consistent coverage and adherence to procedures.
- Coordinate daily assignments, breaks, and shift transitions.
- Serve as the primary liaison with building management, USACE staff, and public safety partners.
- Review and approve daily activity logs, incident reports, and key control documentation.
- Conduct access control, visitor screening, and routine patrols as needed.
- Lead incident response, communicate with first responders, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Implement Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) and maintain compliance with Army security protocols.
- Train new guards on post orders, emergency procedures, and customer service standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance and foster a positive, disciplined team environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (proof required).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must be a U.S. citizen (Lawful Permanent Residents with military service may be considered).
- Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screening.
- Must be able to pass federal background investigation (fingerprints submitted and Tier 3 investigation initiated at onboarding; full adjudication may follow).
- Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM (No evenings, weekends, or holidays).
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in federal or military security environments.
- Experience training or mentoring security staff.
- Familiarity with Army antiterrorism and physical security protocols (AR 190-56, AT Level I, OPSEC).
