Under the direction of the Assistant Director of MTSS or designee, the District Attendance and Student Support Specialist performs specialized duties to support district-wide student attendance initiatives. The position focuses on student re-engagement efforts, coordination with alternative placement programs, training site staff on attendance systems, maintaining accurate attendance records, supporting parent engagement activities, and strengthening multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) related to attendance interventions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: - Associate's degree from an accredited college or university OR - Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in student attendance, student services, or related areas Desirable Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or related field - Experience in a public education environment - Experience working with student information systems such as Synergy - Experience working with student attendance - Ability to communicate effectively in the Spanish language both verbally and in writing (Upon passing the District's PDL assessment, may provide interpretation in a second language (e.g., Spanish) and qualify for a stipend)

NOTE: - Salary Placement: External candidates cannot place past step D. Internal candidates will be placed based on CSEA Article VIII (8) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. - Benefits: This position includes a full benefit package of Medical, Dental, and Vision for employees and eligible dependents. - Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (8 hours with a 1 hour lunch period)
