POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to join our Winnipeg maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of production equipment through expert installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. This position is critical to keeping our advanced manufacturing operations running efficiently and safely.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain production and facility equipment including: CNC machines, press brakes, lasers, welders, overhead cranes, conveyors, and paint systems.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Perform precision alignments, rigging, and installation of bearings, gearboxes, shafts, and drive systems.
- Fabricate, weld, and machine replacement parts or modifications as required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, lockout/tagout, and company procedures.
- Maintain plant cleanliness, organization, and protection of company property.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices and junior trades employees.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL:
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate, or a provincially recognized Industrial Mechanic Certificate of equal standing.
- Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools, alignment equipment, and machine shop tools.
- Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and drive systems.
- Ability to fabricate, weld, and machine components when needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
