What You’ll Do

 

Are you a logistics leader with a passion for efficiency, team development, and continuous improvement? Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Shipping and Logistics Supervisor, where you’ll oversee the flow of materials, manage inventory operators, and lead a high-performing shipping/receiving team.  

 

 

The Successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and coordinate the movement of raw materials, components, and supplies to support production. 
  • Supervise the Shipping and Receiving Cell, ensuring smooth operations and team performance. 
  • Conduct accurate inventory counts and collaborate with Finance and Manufacturing teams.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure timely, quality deliveries. 
  • Analyze customer and supplier demand, inventory status, and manufacturing variances. 
  • Develop and track KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
  • Support supplier development and implement Lean and 5S initiatives. 
  • Train ERP users and resolve system errors.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement long-term solutions. 
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory in collaboration with purchasing and finance. 
  • Ensure compliance with shipping documentation standards and trade regulations. 

 

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience. 
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing, including leadership experience. 
  • Strong inventory management skills: ERP experience (Syteline or IFS) is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid communication skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and balancing Union/Non-Union priorities within CBA requirements. 
  • Familiarity with basic accounting practices. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing is an asset.
