ROLE SUMMARY 

The Local Restaurant Marketing (LRM) Manager is an ambassador of Nando’s brand, culture, and values — both within our restaurants and in the communities we serve. This role builds internal engagement and drives local brand awareness and market share through tailored marketing activities. 

Key responsibilities include planning and executing local marketing initiatives, from events and creative asset production to social, digital, influencer, and traditional media activations. The LRM Manager partners closely with Patraos (General Managers) and Area Directors to align on market opportunities, gain buy-in, and deliver impactful campaigns. 

The role also manages reporting and analysis to measure ROI, while providing day-to-day support for initiatives such as the gift card program, guest issue resolution, and on-the-ground campaign coordination. 

As with all Nandocas, the LRM Manager is expected to wear many hats, contribute to a culture of teamwork, and seek out opportunities to continuously make Nando’s better.  

The essential functions of this position are mapped out below:  

Communication & Coordination 

  • Lead, coordinate, and actively participate in all local marketing initiatives to support both corporate and franchise restaurants. 
  • Champion and “market” the marketing program internally to build restaurant buy-in. 
  • Localize national programs and amplify campaigns with tailored activations. 
  • Ensure all communications—internal and external—reflect Nando’s brand identity, objectives, and effective use of resources. 
  • Collaborate with external partners to expand brand awareness. 
  • Own reporting and post-mortems for all local marketing activity, sharing regular summaries. 
  • Support campaigns with ordering and distribution of required materials and collateral. 

Brand Identity 

  • Maintain a consistent brand image across all local advertising and marketing activities. 
  • Apply the Nando’s tone of voice in all external communications. 
  • Partner with other departments to create materials such as manuals, guides, and internal documents. 

Community & Industry Involvement 

  • Build and nurture relationships with community organizations, industry partners, and influencers. 
  • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activity to identify opportunities. 
  • Support influencer and community programs through caterings, gifting, and reporting. 
  • Provide customer service support as needed (e.g., donation requests, voucher distribution, reward allocation).

  • Performance & Reporting – Monitor, track, and analyze marketing activity results, providing clear ROI insights and recommendations to improve future initiatives. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Operations, Patraos, and Area Directors to secure buy-in, deliver impactful campaigns, and ensure seamless communication across all touchpoints. 
  • Brand Stewardship – Maintain consistent use of Nando’s tone, look, and feel across all local marketing channels, ensuring every activation enhances brand equity. 
  • Agility & Ownership – Take initiative, adapt to changing business needs, and be hands-on in executing campaigns, events, and activations. 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS  

  • Experience: 3–5 years in marketing, brand, or community engagement, ideally in hospitality, retail, or food service. 
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of local store marketing, digital/social media, and event activation. Familiarity with reporting and ROI measurement. 
  • Skills: 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Comfortable analyzing data to inform marketing decisions. 
  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with social/digital marketing platforms. 
  • Other: Valid driver’s license, ability to travel locally between restaurants as needed, and willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events/activations.
