In this role, you'll:
Work within the Engineering & Maintenance Division, which is responsible for maintaining and renewing essential civil rail infrastructure across the Sydney Trains network.
You’ll be involved in the planning, delivery and completion of civil infrastructure projects in the rail corridor including bridges, platforms, culverts, embankments, drainage and other structural assets, depending on your background and expertise.
From developing initial cost estimates and construction schedules to coordinating work on-site and supporting the commissioning process, you’ll be part of every stage of the project lifecycle.
You will work alongside experienced project managers, engineers and construction teams to ensure technical specifications are met, safety standards are upheld, and all work is completed to time and quality expectations. You’ll be helping to deliver infrastructure that directly improves reliability and service for Sydney Trains customers.

About you
You hold relevant engineering qualifications and have a background in civil, infrastructure, or construction projects—ideally within the rail industry.
You’re motivated to develop your skills and contribute to major public infrastructure projects in a supportive and dynamic team.
You’re comfortable interpreting technical documents, working across teams, and contributing to a positive safety culture. If you have experience working on active construction sites, managing interfaces between stakeholders, and conducting quality assurance activities, you’ll thrive in this role.
