Role Description

Your Role: 

The Associate Director, Promotional Medical Education will own and support development of the strategy for key promotional medical education initiatives. They will provide support for key dermatology congresses and support strategic pull through of portfolio brands at national level congresses. Partner with key matrix stakeholders across the US organization to ensure successful planning and execution.   

 

This is a hybrid role, based out of LEO’s Madison, NJ office. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Support development and execute impactful promotional medical education, speakers’ bureau and congress strategy. 

  • Align tactical plans in coordination with broader marketing team to drive HCP education. 

  • Establish productive work relationships between US Marketing and key internal matrix teams including TLLs, Sales, Regulatory, Medical, Legal, Compliance and key global functions. 

  • Lead execution of HCP education efforts including effective promotional educational program mix: live, virtual, national webinars, advisory boards, product theaters, and incorporation of digital channels 

  • Manage execution of speaker programs in close partnership with field team for proper utilization, reach, and ensure compliance 

  • Attend key scientific congresses & conventions, advising on promotional presence (e.g. booth, product theaters and distribution of promotional material etc.), participate in ad boards, and attend key scientific sessions. 

  • Lead promotional advisory board and KOL steering committee meeting content development. 

  • Effectively managing vendor relationships; communicating strategic direction maintaining project plans to ensure agencies are aligned with key objectives 

  • Identifying and evaluating new promotional medical education partnerships 

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred 

  • 5-7+ years relevant experience with increasing responsibility, with concentration of 2+ years in Promotional Medical Education, Strategic Marketing, or HCP Marketing experience for a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company; launch experience preferred 

  • 5+ years of managing vendors such as advertising or medical education agencies in support of pharmaceutical marketing strategies and tactics 

  • Strong collaborative and strategic marketing skills required 

  • Technology savvy, business-oriented and nimble learning abilities required 

  • Dermatology/Immunology biologic experience desired, but not required 

  • Champions innovation and moves them into implementation   

  • Creative problem solver with ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities; meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy 

  • Demonstrated understanding of the legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements 

  • This role covers US Domestic meetings and P2P events and will require approximately 20-25% travel. 

 

The base salary range for this position is $152,000-227,000 USD per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
