A couple things to note about our Director of Operations position:
- Location: This position can be based out of any of our headquarters in Rockford, IL or our Tax Centers in St. Charles, IL, Iowa City, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Dover, DE, or Lewes, DE. Due to the nature of the work, there will be travel required when integrating new teams and locations.
- Work Model: Initially we will expect more in-office time, but once you're fully up and running, we will discuss the potential for you to work in our hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 from home.
- Typical Hours: Standard business hours with flexibility based on business needs. During Tax season, from January - April, you can expect to work 55-60 hours per week.
- This is a leadership role with both operational and strategic impact, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on support with team mentorship.
Qualifications

7–10 years of leadership experience in operations, professional services, or consulting (tax/financial industry experience is a plus, but not required).

Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and navigating change.

A strategic problem solver who also loves rolling up their sleeves to execute.

Excellent communicator and relationship-builder, able to connect with executives and front-line team members alike.

Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Skilled in process improvement, systems implementation, and performance measurement.
