Director - Outbound Distribution chez Inspirebrands

Manages the Inventory Programs, Distributor Relations, and Final Mile delivery to the BWW’s, Sonic, and Baskin Robbins stores. Responsible for tracking and publishing monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI data for food distribution firms. Compiles business reports for distributor business reviews and collaborates with franchisees to resolve delivery issues. Maintains and updates Arrowstream files to reflect open and closed stores. Manages a team of four Distribution Analysts. Contributes to the development of annual goals and OKRs for the team and participates in initiatives to optimize the distribution network.

This roles sits onsite in our Atlanta Support Center 4 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

• Leads and develops a high-performing team of four Distribution Analysts and works closely with the Logistics Manager and Systems Manager as required. Works with the Brand Management team on new product rollouts, item transitions, and item transfers within the distribution network.
• Provides coaching, development, and performance management to build organizational capability.

Distribution Network Optimization

• Manages the Inventory and Delivery programs for over 100 distribution centers.
• Provides analytic support for DC Network Optimization projects and DC transitions.  
• Ensures consistent, cost-effective service to franchisees through network design, distributor performance management, and issue resolution. 

Third-Party Relationship Management

• Serves as one of the primary relationship owners for all third-party distributors.
• Participates in contract negotiations for distribution agreements and ensures alignment with service, cost, and compliance expectations.

Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution

• Tracks and improves key metrics including on-time delivery, cost per case, and case fill rate.
• Collaborates with distributors and procurement to optimize inventory levels.
• Partners with distributors, suppliers and internal teams to proactively address and resolve supply disruptions.

Inbound Freight

• Works with our Logistics Manager on any inventory outages to expedite product from suppliers to our distribution centers.

Data and Systems Oversight

• Maintains the active store listing in Arrowstream.
• Develops and utilizes Inventory Threshold reports in Arrowstream to identify and resolve any potential supply gaps.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Works closely with Procurement and Brand Supply Chain teams to align distribution strategies with broader business goals.
• Supports franchisees, suppliers, and internal stakeholders with distribution-related needs and solutions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-Year degree
• 6-10+ years of leadership experience
• 4+ years in Supply Chain
• Prior experience in distribution or logistics is strongly preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and resolve complex issues
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Proficiency in utilizing analytics and performance metrics
