Opportunity to join Nuveen’s Credit Tenant Loan platform as a senior associate supporting the team in all aspects of both debt origination and portfolio management. Job responsibilities will include analytics, financial modeling, structuring, research, portfolio management and transaction execution alongside senior and junior investment professionals. You will be working within a small investment team to help monitor Nuveen’s CTL portfolio as well as actively engaging in new deal origination, maintaining relationships with relevant counterparties, and loan closings.




Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the team in evaluating new investment opportunities in the CTL market involving both public and private companies through credit research, structuring, and modeling

  • Participate in all aspects of deal origination of construction financing and senior permanent debt financing

  • Assist in the closing process of new transactions and portfolio monitoring of existing portfolio holdings

  • Draft presentation materials, pricings, and market updates for internal and external stakeholder meetings

  • Serve in portfolio management role for existing loans and coordinate with internal and external parties to service loans

  • Assist in preparing amortization schedules, reviewing third party reports, construction financing related materials, amendment requests, etc.

  • Generate reports for management and track CTL portfolio performance

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of CTL experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in corporate credit, real estate originations and/or CTL

Base Pay Range: $139,000/yr - $175,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
