The Opportunity:

We are looking for a driven, collaborative Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will report into our Director, Finance and work closely with the Finance team including our Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting. You will support the team in day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end financial close processes & reconciliations, dashboard reporting and providing analysis over financial reporting metrics. Your support will be crucial to support the growth of our company.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Accounts Payable

  • Reviewing and entering transactions including vendor invoices & credit card expenses
  • Compiling weekly AP reports and preparing payments for approval on a weekly basis
  • Completing bank, credit card and other balance sheet account reconciliations to assist in the month-end close processes

Accounts Receivable 

  • Compiling and reviewing AR reports weekly to support cash flow management
  • Outreach to customers for past due accounts and collections 
  • Verification and recording customer payments and transactions related to AR
  • Investigating customer payment discrepancies and past-due amounts in collaboration with Sr Manager, Financial Reporting and the Sales Team

Additional Tasks:

  • Daily bookkeeping and management of accounting inbox
  • Assist with the preparation of period-end variance analysis 
  • Assist in the month-end close procedures including bank and credit card recs and manual journal entries for monthly accruals, prepaids, and depreciation.

Qualifications:

  • Must be located in Toronto or the GTA
  • Excellent time management & multitasking skills; you have held positions with multiple demands that shift daily and are able to prioritize effectively
  • Attention to detail & attentiveness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Previous experience with managing AR and AP cycles (2 years) preferred
  • You have skills with common computer programs including: gmail, dropbox, excel, word, etc.
  • You have the integrity to hold private information in strict confidence, and you have the intelligence to understand which information can be disclosed to which stakeholder when necessary

Location:

We have flexible working arrangements for the team. Currently, our team is working in-office 2 days a week and remotely the remaining days.
