The Position

To do so, we have formed the PT Digital and Operational Excellence (PTE) organization with the aspiration to digitally transform and optimize to become a lean organization.
PTE is the organization that catalyzes the global development and execution of PT’s Digital and Operational Excellence strategy. We aim to activate data citizenship and a digital mindset, revolutionize our FAIR data ecosystem and systems landscape, and generate transformative insights.
Join our award-winning Agile Document Flow team and shape the future of knowledge management for thousands of colleagues across Roche's Pharma Technical Operations (PT). We are looking for a Product Owner to drive the strategy, operation, and continuous improvement of our Virtual Product Home (VPH), a standard document management solution for PT's global manufacturing network. VPH is used by 5000+ active users globally and is covering 800+ Roche products.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology at the interface of Life and Computer Sciences, delivering real-world impact in a dynamic, global environment based in Basel.
Define and execute the product vision and technology roadmap for VPH, translating business needs into actionable development plans
Lead high-impact projects, such as the integration of new technologies like Google Shared Drive or AI capabilities into the VPH ecosystem
Oversee the VPH system architecture, including folder structures and permissions, ensuring a robust, scalable, and user-centric solution
Drive user adoption and satisfaction by developing training materials, maintaining documentation, and simplifying processes
Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, governance bodies, development teams, and IT partners to ensure alignment and operational excellence
Who You Are
You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
You have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer or Life Science
You bring 3-5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within a complex IT landscape. Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.
Direct experience in a Life Sciences business area (e.g., R&D, Manufacturing, Quality) is a significant plus, as you will be key to improving the document flow along the end-to-end product lifecycle
An excellent communicator and collaborator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent English communication skills are essential; fluency in German is a strong plus
