What you’ll do
Role purpose:
• The Deputy Lead for Vantage Towers Operation has the responsibility to partner and support various stakeholders in Vantage Towers. He should partner with eight local market Head of Finance, Finance Business Partners, Compliance Lead and Head of SCM to deliver various finance and non-finance strategies in Vantage Business Operation. Role will be key contact in VOIS to manage cross functional services to Vantage Towers and help business to deliver world class accounting, reporting, controls environment and business operation.
• The role ensures that services related to day-to-day operation across functions like Real Estate, Procure to Pay, APA, Capex and Supply chain management are performed diligently and accurately. He also needs to support Head of Vantage Operation in various other functions smooth delivery and driving various initiatives. This includes balance sheet reconciliations, operational & ICFR control effectiveness, Governance of internal controls frameworks, resolution of operational issues,
• This role will strategically work very closely with Local markets Head of Finance Operations, Finance Business Partners and Head of SCM to rationalize business operation and standardization of process across functions to have bigger activities penetration in VOIS
Who you are
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Stable, service delivery operations:
Ensure services run according to expected service levels, key performance indicators, volume forecasting and capacity planning.
Stabilize and effective service delivery operation for Real Estate and Lease accounting Owns Balance Sheet accounts for the market(s) or correctness and completeness and provide analytical view on risk and opportunities to local market.
Define accounting policies, procedures, and accounting judgements in close working with Head of Finance Operations.
Empowers teams to challenge the status quo and drive process effectiveness
Ensure SCM delivery and master data management with appropriate controls and compliances with DOA policies. Drive various cross functional initiatives in SCM and Category management. Act as a business consultant in terms of the financial accounting process
• Controls and Compliances
Ensure a clear understanding of the control environment, Internal controls framework, control design and operating effectiveness, and ensure controls are relevant to changing dynamics. Work along with Vantage Control organization to define all relevant controls and procedures to operate them. Ownership to deal with statutory auditor to deliver timebound and effective audit closure without material adjustments for statutory reporting
Responsible for overall governance of Internal Audit and timely closure of internal audit points. Work closely with second line assurance team to ensure effective controls framework and compliances
• Business Partnering
Partner with Local market Head Finance, Lease management lead, Finance Business Partners and Head of SCM to deliver various finance and non-finance strategies
Close partnership for stable ring fence operations by challenging status quo and right level of governance. Partner with Vantage team on various strategic initiative and deliver on markets transformation initiatives. Play advisory role in enhancing controllership model and finance COE’s projects via specialized knowledge
Display the ability to understand the full picture, particularly from the local market’s perspective and play a key role in translating the local market’s requirements to actionable tasks for the FSSC teams
Monthly/Quarterly governance with all Vantage Stakeholders to drive scope of improvement, issue resolution and relationship building. Drive actions with all cross functional stakeholders.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Leadership experience of managing teams distributed across multiple functions, and can work with very senior management leadership
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA) with 15 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting of a global organization
• Experience in a project management, functional/dotted line/matrix/cross locational team management is desirable
• A sound understanding of the absolute necessity of compliance with policies, standards and the criticality of an effective controls framework
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions.
